F-16 Combat Pilot on the Amiga "Landing this one took a little bit of time to master as you needed to get the AoA and vertical velocity spot-on. And when you had mastered that, you could throw in a bit of bad weather ( fog and low cloud down to 500ft AGL ) and if you were really lucky, it could all be in the black of night too." 30-Nov-2002

F-19 on the Amiga "This was the first sim I brought for the Amiga - and what a cracking game it was. The cockpit & systems were just mind-blowing when comparing to the earlier sims on the Spectrum I had used. The main game was based on the same campaigns as the Spectrum version : Libya, Persian Gulf, North Cape & Central Europe." - Rob "Bomber" Henderson recalls. 10-Dec-2002

1980's Interceptor: a prelude to Jetfighter F/A-18 Interceptor was written by Bob Dinnerman who was the force behind the later Jetfighter series. Containing only 5 missions, yes, that's F I V E - this 1988 sim nonetheless amused and entertained sim fans around the world for months at a time. 10-Dec-2002

Aircraft comparison in Vietnam Air War I've started looking at the aircraft - a few of the virtual cockpits are top class, with clear and functional dials. The external detail on all aircraft is good and some must represent some of the best work done in the Microsoft Combat Flight Sim 2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 graphics engines. 17-Dec-2002
Gunship on the Amiga "The mission generation was endless with a primary and secondary to complete and the briefings had everything you needed for the coming mission. It also had basic radio comms, with password and countersigns being used during the battle - give the wrong response twice and you start getting hunted by your own side!" 17-Dec-2002

F-15 Strike Eagle II: Commodore Amiga version F-15 Strike Eagle II: Commodore Amiga version In 1989 F-15 Strike Eagle II had one of the richest and most interactive sim environments ever seen. The world was full of activity from enemy fighters and ships. Who can forget "Director Mode", which let you sit back and watch as the sim followed the action. Pour a cup of coffee, grab a donut and watch the action unfold! Not everyone was as enthralled as I with the sim, read Rob "Bomber" Henderson's comments on the Commodore Amiga version. 17-Dec-2002
Combat purge I went through the Microsoft Combat Flight Sim exhibit like a dose of the salts, adding info, tidying up and moving the 3rd party campaigns to their own exhibits. 24-Dec-2002
F-117A Stealth Fighter on the Commodore Amiga "I remember it being a real effort sometimes to get anyone to engage you in combat - MiGs would fly so close that it would have resulted in a collision ( if you could have collided that is ) and they would continue to fly right past and off into the big blue beyond. I persevered and completed the 99 mission career, but it just wasn't quite the same as completing the original F-19 Stealth Fighter." 24-Dec-2002
