Children’s author Roald Dahl was a Hurricane pilot for the RAF in WW II though he was so tall that he barely fit in the cockpit.

Although this book is intended for young readers, it’s an excellent account of Dahl’s hair-raising flying career and other adventures as a young man.

One of my favorite flying books.
