What happens when an alien crash lands in suburban Birmingham, UK?

I first read this series in the British mag "2000 AD" during the 1980's. Published then in installments, it was a pleasure to pick up the entire story in graphic novel format.

The writing is probably suitable for younger readers as well as having a lot of laughs for the adults. It speaks to the power of Alan Moore's writing that I found myself wiping tears from my face at several scenes (not the ones shown below!).

The black and white inking is a pleasure to peruse, and the paper quality good - no smudging here. My only gripe is the pricing - at $USD 14.99 for such a slim volume (100 pages) it's a bit much I feel. Having said that, Amazon usually sell it at 22% off list price at USD $11.66.
