GeForce2 MX Performance I was amazed firstly at the speed diference in my day-to-day work - web pages and graphics, the whole Windows 98 interface seemed turbo-charged! The sims benefitted as you would expect. The virtual cockpit in Eurofighter Typhoon was just a tad too slow to be useful with my Banshee 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator Card but was now smooth as silk. The explosions were now nothing short of spectacular! Problems I was surprised to see that there were problems with panels disappearing at close range and bleed through in Eurofighter Typhoon. Apparently this is common with GeForce cards and I get the impression it's to do with the way the cards handle Direct X commands. In an effort to solve the problem I downoaded the Unified Driver Architecture... drivers... from www.nvidia.com. |
