Hercules 3D Prophet III Titanium 500
First test flight - November 2001

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 - a lot of difference! I don't think any hardware will max out this sim for about 2 years - but in the meantime I could crank it up to about 3/4 overall and the results were smooooth and beautiful !

Eurofighter Typhoon - 2001

Eurofighter Typhoon - no difference I could see over the Geforce 2 MX. Same missing panels in close-up external views unfortunately.

Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 - 2000

Microsoft Combat Flight Sim 2 was pretty much maxed out all the settings at 1024 x 768 v 32 bit colour. And smooth, real smooth. I set up a furball and after despatching the Zeros spent a good 20 minutes strafing the airbase and ship below. It's a great buzz to whizz past the masts of a burning hulk at what looks like 300 knots!

F/A-18E SuperHornet by Digital Integration - 1998 F/A-18E SuperHornet by Digital Integration - 1998

F/A-18E Super Hornet - Pretty much the same as with the Geforce 2 MX. I think my Celeron-466 is the limiting factor here. The aircraft detail seemed clearer though - particularly the maintenance access points and panel joins on the F/A-18. I used to spend hours with an airbrush trying to get these details in on my scale models and it didn'e achieve anywhere near this clarity.

MechCommander 2 - Hurrah! The game wouldn't even recognise my Geforce 2 MX but the Hercules 3D Prophet III Titanium 500 worked first time.

Falcon 4.0

Falcon 4.0 - I cranked up to the max at 1024 x 768 and smooth as can be! The limiting factor in this sim now is my Celeron-466 - it stutters in the campaign mode, so I'll concentrate on the training and instant action missions until I upgrade the CPU after Xmas.
