Flight Simulation Magazines PC Pilot Magazine How I discovered this magazineBy accident, actually!In early 2000 I did a quick recce of a local PC Games store, always on the lookout for a new or reissued sim. As I cruised past the magazine and "game guide" rack my eye was caught by a beautifully rendered Flanker (Issue 2 - November 1999). I headed back to base for a read and then flew straight back the next day to get pick up Issue 3 (January 2000). 
For a start I like free toys and PC Pilot gave readers the FULL VERSION of
RAF Collection Volume 1 (later part of
Royal Air Force 2000) -
and the other issue contained 2 Jeppesen Nav charts.
This mag is beautifully presented with generous screenshots. The writers range from professional aviation authors to academics - and they are all flight sim nuts. What a relief to find a quality games mag - and one that treats our beloved hobby with the respect it deserves. MiGMan |
