This CDROM is an excellent introduction to computer air combat. Perhaps an ideal gift for a friend who is getting into the genre?

The ACM Visualisation Tool ( which plays much more smoothly than my animation above) is worth the price of admission alone as you can replay essential combat manoeuvers over and over from different perspectives.
