World Trade Centre and Pentagon Attacks.
On September 11th, 2001 the world was shocked by the attacks on the financial and
political / military control centres of the USA.
Most of the world would have been glued to the
Cable News Network - CNN broadcasts and the
information available on their website. The simulation community has responded with messages of
condolence and information to try and help the public understand this tragic set of circumstances.
I have decided to set up a section on the site where I will collate information and reports specifically
from the aviation and simulation community angle. - HERE
Also, in light of the often innacurate speculation that unfortunately creeps into some of the media coverage, I also offer a little information from the simulation perpective.

QUESTION :
"What problems might be faced in dealing with the domestic airspace security implications
of this type of incident.?"
ANSWER
Followers of the Techno-thriller genre pioneered by
Tom Clancy will have seen precisely this question considered in the 1994 book by
Dale Brown - "Storming Heaven". In this book he considered precisely the scenario of
terrorists using hijacked civilian aircraft to attack Government targets in Washington and other cities.
This is by no means a new idea.
