I went exploring in Flight Sim 2002 and found a few more areas ideally suited to joyflights, either because of the spectacular terrain, the architectural wonders or both! While most of the world is apparently modelled in mesh with 1.2 km between elevation points, some areas are modelled in much finer detail. Hawaii - Honululu city is jam packed with skyscrapers and backs onto some incredibly rugged terrain. Kilauea eruption, 1982 For 2 hours I flew about, circling the enormous peak of Kilauea volcano - or what I thought was Kilauea volcano!!! No eruption ensued - not even a trickle of magma. I checked the date and the time, restarted the flight a few times, flew round the island, flew high, flew low, changed the time... still no eruption! Well eventually I found it. Paris has architectural marvels to buzz - from Gothic cathedrals to buildings you can fly through! Tahiti - A few prominent islands and hundreds of attolls. Coming in over a lagoon for landing and skimming the tops of palm trees is a buzz. Tokyo - very built up and mountains beyond. Royal Air Force 2000 tour of duty concludes

I take a look at this famous marque in Microsoft Combat Flight Sim. Some regarded the fabric covered fuselage as an asset as it was less likely to fall apart after a few hits.
