The work of this company has given me hundreds of hours of pleasure over the past 10 years - multiply that by their numerous fans and you have a whole lotta' fun ! Here is Rowan in the Flight Sim Museum :
Dawn Patrol
Rowan were responsible for the Amiga and Atari port of
Falcon,
one of the first high - tech F-16 sims.
An incredibly ambitious sim which recreated carrier operations in the F-4 Phantom and A-6 Intruder during the Vietnam War. The mission planning ability was extraordinary and the multiplay robust.
Flight of the Intruder
Operation Overlord was released in 1994 and was one of the very first flight sims to make use of the brand new S3 graphics chipset. This chipset enabled a doubling of the screen resolution from 300 x 200 pixels to an amazing 600 x 400 pixels. You could actually see the little fences around Radar sites! -
Operation Overlord
An interesting Battle of Britain sim with one of the first virtual cockpits -
Reach for the Skies
A simulation of the Korean Air War which could be played at the tactical or strategic level -
MiG Alley.
Using the succesful graphics engine of
MiG Alley,
