Harrier Jump Jet 2002 contains a version of the Argentinean Air Force campaign in the Falkland Islands 1982. The campaign starts with a bang, as you take off during a runway attack by RAF Harriers. An excellent opening to what was a pretty enjoyable sim campaign. Attacking ships became my favourite type of mission in this campaign. Why? Because of the hair - raising challenge of screaming in at low level and repeatedly strafing. The water was flying past, sounds of FLAK everywhwere, Harriers were buzzing about but posing no real threat with their non-functioning AIM-9 Sidewinders. Race into Space: Mission Abort

Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space
Released in 1992, Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space attempted to answer that pressing question from the 1960's "... for two years the Russians have been working on a larger, more powerful rocket. Could they be secretly planning a mission this year to land men on the moon? Will they get there first? " In 2001 could hear the soundtrack - a reasonably hi-fi classical score - but the images were whizzing by at escape velocity. I briefly glimpsed John F. Kennedy - a moon landing shot and a couple of menu screens. Such is the fate of DOS sims in the 21st century! Even DOS Space sims! - MORE: Race into Space: Mission Abort



Race into Space: Liftoff!

Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space
Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space was released in 1992. I couldn't get the sim running under Windows, however there is now good news for those who want to refly the Cold War Space Race. MORE: Race into Space: Liftoff!
