Story behind this song:
" I have to admit it, guys are weird. Before I got my pilot's license (in a Cessna), I was really obsessed with flight sims, especially military ones (I still like them, just not obsessed at the moment).
I spent many hours pretending to fly F-15E's, Hellcats, F/A-18's, etc. Land on carriers, attack Baghdad, all that stuff. So it was... kinda like this song. If you are a sim-head (and I will be again, I'm sure), you know the jargon. If not... you don't care. It's just a song about obsession.
But just in case... BFM is "basic fighter maneuvers" where rule one is "don't get slow". Rule two is "figure out where the missile is, and don't be there" (or something like that).
"Winchester" means out of missiles. "Triple-A" is anti-aircraft artillery.
