I played this game into the ground (sometimes literally), and it became my all-time favourite multiplayer sim.
I played with a friend as often as possible, and our choice of game was almost always the front-back combo. He would be pilot, and I would be, well, everything else. I handled anything that didn't require a joystick, from WP management to handling targets - ground and air.
To this day I haven't seen a sim that captures the excitement of flying the way this game did. I mourn for the days when my life depended on the pilot in front of (or next to) me.
