Hardware Requirements

F-16 MRF ran very smoothly on Pentium 233MMX v with 64 meg ram. The terrain graphics were breathtaking and flight felt fluid.

In Feb 1999 I acquired a Banshee 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator Card . With this device installed the magnificence of the graphic engine was revealed.

By even the standards of 1998 current standards this sim had fairly modest hardware requirements. It ran fine with an average Pentium and if you added a 3D accelerator card it was an awesome graphic experience. As is often the case with 3D accelerators, changing the resoution seemed to have no effect on framerate, so I ran it at 800 x 600 and sometimes 1024 x 768 on my 15" monitor.
