Fence Check involves setting the operating status of your countermeasures.

Fence In
(entering enemy airpsace) Avtivate EW system	On the UFC
Select AUTO or ON
FENCE OUT Leaving enemy airspace and approaching the carrier
Activate EW system	On the UFC
Select OFF

If you have the countermeasures activated the Hornet will dispense flares and chaff every time the skin is painted by a search radar. This was really annoying me until I read about this in the manual.

I'd thought my Saitek Throttle was malfunctioning, triggering random chaff and flares. Another story proving I should
