" Although the basic fuselage configuration was similar to that of its predecessor, the FL 282 differed in one important respect. Its Bramo Sh14A engine was mounted in the centre fuselage and the pilot was accommodated in the nose with enclosed, semi-enclosed and open cockpits provided in variety over the 24 prototypes that were built. "
