Thrust Vectoring

These images from the ACMI tool show some of the incredible manoeuvers possible in the sim using thrust vectoring on the F-22

A forward flip - enduring enormous negative G and ending up inverted and flying in the opposite direction.

This would be an extremely uncomfortable manoeuver to fly.

An impressively small radius somersault

Rob flew the F-22 at 90 degrees Angle of Attack ... for quite some time - and then exited nose down.

This is what the Soviets called the "Cobra Manoeuver" and allegedly it can break certain radar locks.

MiGMan thanks Rob "Bomber" Henderson for the ACMI tracks.
