Yakovlev Yak-28P 'FIREBAR'

" With around 300 Yak-28P's in service with the Soviet home interceptor force, the Firebar filled a key roll in the defense of the Soviet Union in the 60's and 70's.

2 versions entered service in 1961, the 'Firebar' interceptor and the glazed-nose 'Brewer' ground attack and recon aircraft, both of which were still in service well in into the 80's. "
