The de Havilland Chipmunk, a 2 seat primary training aircraft, was designed by de Havilland of Canada. In total, 1,283 Chipmunks were built, 217 in Canada, 1,000 in the UK, and 66 in Portugal. As well as serving with the RCAF, the aircraft was also used by the Royal Navy, the British Army, the RAF and the Forca Aerea Portuguesa.

  • Length : 25 ft. 5 in.
  • Height : 7 ft. 0 in.
  • Weight, Normal Loaded : 2100 lbs.
  • Engine : de Havilland Gypsy Major - 145 hp.
