Westland Lysander II

" Notes:The Lysander was developed in 1935 by Westland Aircraft Ltd. The single wing design was more than a simple deletion of the lower wing of the traditional biplane. The result was an overall aerodynamic foreward sweep of the wing... an innovation many years ahead of its time. Full span automatic leading edge slats and large flaps gave the Lysander unprecendented STOL performance. "
