True accounts of the 20th Century’s most dramatic air battles by Stephen Coonts as editor.

Coonts collects 26 stories from WW1 to Vietnam, mainly excerpts from books (some no longer in print) written by the airmen themselves. These stories are more diverse than those in Top Guns by Joe Foss and Matthew Brennan. Includes stories by Eddie Rickenbacker, Adolf Galland, and the pilot of the B-29 Enola Gay.
