Counter Terrorist Agent Jack Bauer makes "The Punisher" look like "The Pushover" !
Each season of 24 takes you in real time (24 episodes) through a day at work with Jack. Not just an ordinary day, mind you, what with endless report writing and gun cleaning, but rather one of those special days, like for example where your family is kidnapped and you have to assassinate the POTUS !

Tight scripting, direction and top performances all round had me on the edge of my seat and yelling encouragement and, occasionally insults, at the screen. It's that sort of show.

when she was the most annoying character ever in season 3?

This is one of the strengths of the 22 (or 24) hour story arc, you have time to adapt to the characters, they become like family, and in time you tend to accept their annoying traits.
