MiG-29 Fulcrum Combustion failure in a turbine engine usually occurs due to disruption of the air intake flow. This might be caused by:
  1. Flying into turbulence at low level
  2. Entering or crossing the jet wake of another a/c
  3. High angle of attack manoeuvres
  4. Proximity to detonating ordnance
