|Mikoyan Gurevich MiG-19S 'FARMER'|
|MiGMan's Combat Diary||Fly it in Warsaw Pact. Mission 1.|
As Russia's first supersonic fighter, the twin-engined MiG-19 was a truly formidable aircraft for its day.
First flown in 1953, it was still regarded as a potent fighter well into the 1970's. Many were built under licence, most notably by the Chinese, whose Shenyang F-6 was superior in many areas to the Russian MiG-19. This aircraft depicts a Polish-built S-105 version.
