Most of the airfields use the same scenery objects as seen at Berne and Calais.
Berne | This is representative of most airbases in the sim.
Calais | This is representative of most airbases in the sim.
Central Berlin | No airbases but much more detail here as you would expect.
Central London gets the Royal treatment! There is no actual airbase but London gets the most detailed treatment in Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator (1998), with numerous landmarks dotting the Thames River.
Central Paris gets a detailed treatment.
Interlaken in Switzerland | Spectacular mountainous scenery. This was quite jaw-dropping in 1998.
Leipheim - 2 runways
Lucerne - Switzerland - Mountainous terrain
Manston - IK - some rolling hills
Southhampton | No airbase, but what were in 1998, quite exciting and convincing 2-D bitmaps of the docks.
Saint-Malo. | At this altitude the urban detail looks quite uncanny. Dogfighting over this made my stomach leap in protest, providing excellent immersion.
Saint-Omer - a few buildings near the strip
Schongau - mountainous terrain nearby
Thalheim - 2 runways, rolling hills nearby
Thames Estuary - no strip
Etaples - listed last in the sim's location menu becasue of the accent mark over the "E" in the French language.
