Exhibit: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002
Comments: The sequel to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000, this sim added interactive ATC, dynamic 'auto-gen' scenery, terrain mesh mapped for the entire planet and all with much smoother frame rates than it's predecessor.
These are the physical components of the flight sim package. From the year 2010 onwards more and more software was purchased via download rather than on a physical storage medium.

|Manual||There is no printed manual!
The future is here. I would like to see the printed manual offered as a separate retail item, I'm sure Microsoft can publish the manuals for a fraction of the cost I would spend at Kinko's ... or on cartridges for my bubble jet! Then again... maybe a printed manual isn't necessary. The on-line help might be quite adequate. I'll return to this after having flown the sim for a couple of weeks.
Apparently the manuals are not in a particularly printer -friendly format - Mike Holland has reformatted them so they print using in 1/2 the amount of paper - Download them here. (Note - he has password protected the files so you will need to own the software to access these.)
I got my hands on the Pro edition and was eager to see whether it could live up to the hype.
