TFX PILOTS' NOTES

The F-117A has no high-lift devices and low CLa (increase of lift with AoA) so at all speeds, angle of attack will be positive for level flight. Stalling characteristics are highly unpredictable. Never stall the F-117A. Maneuverability is low and flight is subsonic.

Landing is complicated by a high AoA which means that the pilot can lose sight of the runway. Furthermore, as landing speed is high, always deploy brake chute on landing, but never before touchdown. "
