WINWING Orion Details | 1

Some close ups of the ORION build. Attention to detail and high quality metal parts elevate the ORION beyond what had been the industry standard for almost 20 years through the Thrustmaster Cougar and Warthog range.

As all the switches appear as a HID device in windows, they are dead easy to program in any windows based sim.

I bought the standard ORION grip. Full metal construction gives a sturdy and reassuring feel to the hand.
WINWING
The thumb hats have audible and tactile clicks. Each has a 5 way action: UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT and PUSH, giving 15 functions plus the red push button without having to move the hand. Outstanding.
WINWING
The index finger has easy access to 5 more positions on the hat and a 2 stage trigger. The trigger seems to be a high density plastic, almost undiscernable from all the other metal components in feel.
WINWING
The little finger has access to a button (top right in this image) and a lever. The lever can be set as an axis or switches. I use it to toggle a "Push to transmit" function.

The number of axes, switches, rotaries with push button and buttons on the throttle base is outstanding. In repurpose most of them to other than what is labelled and simply apply labels from a Brother label maker. I practice the entire base is easily operated by feel with no need to look down.
