Descr.How to Restore Default Location of Game DVR Captures Folder in Windows 10. | I thought I'd be clever and get the Xbox Game Bar (running in Win 10) capture to save the recording across the network to my editing location. It worked, beautifully! High fidelity sim captures using the NVenc chip on my 2800 GPU. Wonderful. The problem arose when I renamed the network location. | Xbox Game Bar couldn't find the location. Understandable. So tried to change the location in both the Xbox Game Bar app and in Settings/Xbox Game Bar/Captures. No dice. It doesn't save the address as a regular address, it saves it as a special Windows Explorer location in the registry. Attempts change the location from a now unavailable location cause Xbox Game Bar to crash. This is a known problem and there is no fix from MS ATM. This little batch file fixes it.
