Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

After 4 years Microsoft and Asobo decided to recode their flagship sim from the ground up, taking advantage of multi-core CPU’s, delivering higher performance and greater detail. Bearing in mind that during the 1990’s and 2000’s the standard practice was to deliver incremental changes in a new purchase at 2 year intervals. This iteration of the 40 year old flight sim franchise follows the tradition of expanding possibilities and pleasures for the dedicated sim pilot as well as introducing a much wider audience to virtual aviation. As of December 2024, one month after it’s release I have played with the preview and have purchased the sim as a sign of my faith in what this sim will become. Due to personal reasons I haven’t installed it yet and am in no hurry. I have a fairly complex rig and know the new Sim is not ready yet to drive all it's components. That's ok. The future looks great!
