F-100D Super Sabre
Fly it in N.A.T.O. Mission 3
Pilot's notes
The successor to the F-86 Sabre, the F-100 was the first combat aircraft to break the sound barrier in level flight.
The Super Sabre also pioneered in-flight refuelling and was very successful in the Vietnam War. Many of the 2,294 built remained in service into the 1970's with foreign air forces such as those of France, Denmark, Turkey and even China.
