This small utility adds smoke and pyrotechnics to ANY aircraft in MSFS 2020.
Very easy to use, within a couple of hours I was able to fine-tune flares on an L-39 to look and behave pretty much like the real deal. Yes, I am slow. Some folk will be up and running in minutes!
There is a manual on the developer's site here:
Manual (external site)Yes, there was an initial frame rate hit, but to be expected as I had set up volleys of 8 flares per set and sometimes had 3 sets showing at the one time.
My Airshow Assiatant playlist (external site)Balancing effects and performance will be phase 2 for me - and looking at my videos, particularly the ground tresting, it's apparent that probably half the 'persistence' I had chosen will still do the job.
I look forward to applying smoke and flares to most of my fleet!
We cleared the runway at LJMB Maribor for this test. Fire crews were standing by.
The L-39 flare dispensers project at 90 degrees to the airframe and yes, we were able to simulate that with Airshow Assistant.
