F-117A Stealth Fighter 2.0

Commodore Amiga version

MiGMan thanks Rob "Bomber" Henderson for these recollections.
This was basically a re-vamp of the original F-19 Stealth Fighter (1989) and was purely based on the F-117.
The cockpit layout was redesigned, but functionally almost identical. The choice of weapons was the same, as were the main areas of combat. You also had the option of Cuba and Vietnam, Desert Storm, Korea, Syria and Lebanon.

The graphics were updated and much more impressive and the flight model was toned down, however you had the choice of flying a "true" F-117 with only two weapons bays and no cannon or the Microprose version, with 4 bays and gun. The stealth worked in this version too - only perhaps a little too well.

I remember it being a real effort sometimes to get anyone to engage you in combat - MiGs would fly so close that it would have resulted in a collision ( if you could have collided that is ) and they would continue to fly right past and off into the big blue beyond. I persevered and completed the 99 mission career, but it just wasn't quite the same as completing the original F-19 Stealth Fighter .
F-19 Stealth Fighter had presented 99 challenges, where F-117 was just 99 milk-runs.
