Publisher’s Description

Adds scenery of high altitude Bryce Canyon Airport and its surroundings to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.
The airport dates back to 1936, when it was built under the Franklin Roosevelt administration as a Work progress Administration project and was enlarged in the Second World War when it was used as stop in the coast to coast ferries of military airports.
Both main buildings on the airport are rather special: The hangar dates back to the 1930s and is completely built from logs and is the only remaining structure of its kind. It is even listed in the US National Registry of Historical Places. The paved runway extends for 7400 feet.
The facility is situated at an elevation of 7586 feet and at a distance of about 4 miles from Bryce Canyon.
Bryce Canyon National Park is a series of huge natural amphitheatres carved into sedimentary rocks by the Paria River and its tributaries, which has created a landscape that looks as though it is out of another planet, with high pinnacles and endless red cliffs. In February 25, 1928 the area was officially established as Bryce Canyon National Park.
