Tech Preview screens, October 2024.
Asobo claim that the newly coded ground detail supports up to 4,000 times more detail and I can believe it!
As an MSFS partner I was given access to the tech preview in October 2024. A picture speaks a thousand words!
Note that I didn’t publish these screens until well after the embargo ended.
Going off the beaten track has never looked more appealing to the sim pilot.
The tech demo only provided a few aircraft but showed me that pln files could be successfully be imported, and the the flight models felt natural.
OK, you can’t land there!
But you can walk.
The tree models are amazing.
Check out the complexity of the shadows.
You could easily twist an ankle in there.
Nice lichen on those rocks.
The transitions from lake shore into the shallows are a wonder to behold.
Yes I got my feet wet here. Gorgeous to behold and it makes for quite the relaxing walking sim too.
This fallow field is an example of one of the 30 or so distinct biomes Asobo has crafted into 2024. Your aircraft interacts with the surface.
