Pitts S-1E "Panther"

" "Panther," race number 84 was originally built as an S-1E (homebuilt) in 1985 and then upgraded to a “Wolf Pitts" in 2014, featuring enlarged control surfaces, rod landing gear, and carbon fiber cowling. Panther made its debut at Reno in 2015 and has raced at the event in 2017, 2019, and 2021. The aircraft had recorded some impressive speeds, including 185.041 miles per hour in 2017. It has since been upgraded further. In 2021, Panther placed 2nd in Biplane Silver, clocking an average speed of 173.464 miles per hour."
