T-6G "Six Cat"

" "Six Cat," Race Number 6, was an AT-6 that served the U.S. Army Air Forces in the 1940s. In 1949 it was remanufactured as a T-6G by North American Aviation in Downy, California and used by the Air Force. It first raced at Reno in 1986, and has been a regular ever since. It’s list of 1st place wins is impressive, including topping the Gold Race in 1999, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2012. The highest speed ever clocked by Six Cat was set when it took 1st place in the qualifying round in 2016, a blistering 251.792 miles per hour."
