" "Gunslinger," Race Number 66, rolled out of the assembly line on December 24, 1941 as an AT-6A Harvard II, then served the Royal Canadian Air Force until 1962, when it arrived in the United States. After changing hands a number of times, it began its Reno career as Race 66, Gunslinger, in 2008, finishing 3rd in the Bronze Race, clocking an average speed of 211.840 miles per hour. Gunslinger has since racked up an impressive record around the pylons at Stead. In 2010, Gunslinger qualified in 4th place, clocking 227.805 mph, then competed in the Gold Race. In 2016 it finished 1st in the Silver Race with a speed of 221.387 miles per hour, and it took 4th in 2019 in the Gold Race with a speed of 229.714 mph. In 2021, Gunslinger finished 4th in the T-6 Gold race, averaging a speed of 221.885 miles per hour."
