L-39C "Robin 1"

" "Robin I," race number 54, is an L-39C that came off the assembly line in 1978 and went into service as a military trainer for the Ukrainian Air Force. It was transferred to private ownership in the United States in the early 2000s, and then underwent a number of upgrades and improvements, taking on the name “Robin I" and Race Number 54. Robin I made its Reno debut in 2008 and has participated in almost every year since. It has qualified and participated in a number of Silver and Gold races over the years. In 2012 Robin I finished 3rd in the Silver Race with an average speed of 401.706 miles per hour, then finished in 1st place in Silver the next year, clocking 412.689 mph. The year after that, in 2014, Robin I again finished 1st in Silver, this time with an average speed of 426.437 miles per hour. In 2021, Robin I finished first in Silver, recording a blistering speed of 435.015 miles per hour."
