L-39C "Sarance"

" "Sarance," race number 7, is an L-39C that was constructed in 1983 and came to the United States in 1999. The aircraft is authentic-looking with its camouflage paint scheme and wingtip tanks, which many racers remove for Reno. In 2012, Sarance’s first year at the races, it qualified for the Gold Race, finishing in 8th place with an average speed of 385.633 miles per hour. Its fastest clocked speed that year was 403.232 mph, set during the qualifying round. In the years that followed, Sarance proved itself to be a capable competitor, notably in 2014, when it placed 2nd in the Silver Race."
