This program, which I find indispensible, enables you to Install, Remove, Import, Customise add-ons. Also edit aircraft, Panels, Sounds and Scenery in a windows based point and click interface, and without getting too involved in the directory structure of the host sim.
"Air Manager is an application which allows you to create your own 2D flight simulator panels. You can run it on the same computer as your flight simulator, or on a seperate computer.
It will automatically connect to your X-plane, FSX or Prepar3d flight simulator on your local network."
"In my opinion this is what made Flight simming really interesting - designing visually accurate (in a relative sense, or at least for the time) aircraft, that flew close to what the real planes did. And if they didn't, you tweaked it until it did. If this had not happened, I don't believe that the hobby would have gone to where it is today. " - Thomas Long.
Airport Scenery Designer 2.0 was published by Abacus in 2002. It enabled you to create new scenery, airports and objects in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.
This small utility adds smoke and pyrotechnics to ANY aircraft in MSFS 2020. Very easy to use, within a couple of hours I was able to fine-tune flares on an L-39 to look and behave pretty much like the real deal. By August 2024 free updates had added Aerial Refueling and Wingmen.
BushTripInjector is an add-on for creating Bush Trips in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It provides a WYSIWYG interface so you can create working Bush Trips without having any knowledge of xml files, and without dealing with the MSFS SDK.
While doing what it claimed, there was NO mention that Chaseplane would pork TrackIR in the sim. After finding no solutions I went to uninstallation. At that point neither the forum admins at ORBX nor the developer at Parallel 42 provided any practical assistance. so I had to spend a couple of days working that out myself. For a program that cost the better part of AUD$50.00 this is an unacceptable situation. Seriously? Any serious payware program should allow the customer the dignity of a proper uninstallation.
Flight Sim Toolkit was a unique concept, putting creative power in the hands of the flight sim enthusiast. The graphics engine was similar to their SVGA Harrier Assault (1992), one of the first SVGA sims. You could even insert your own navaids and customisable cockpits. You could create your own from scratch or use beautifully rendered templates and insert your own dials and gauges.
Another 5 star addon. Adds Hang gliding; paragliding; parascending; powered hang gliding; paramotoring; human powered flight to approximately 32156 free flight sites around the world. Creates a massive immersion boost, bringing the air to life with HUMAN action! Each location is shown as a black square on the in-sim VFR map. An absolutely essential add-on which goes well with Taburet's 'Australia New Zealand Birds'. Why? Because just as with the birds add-on, it adds life to the sky!
Allows you to use TrackIR in some games which don't have TrackIR support. "FreePIE (Programmable Input Emulator) is a application for bridging and emulating input devices."
Added 25 flyable aircraft and 4 aircraft carriers designed by Paul Hartl to Microsoft Flight Simulator 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 and Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator.
Remap your joysticks and game controllers. Doesn't always work in a sim, but brilliant for the desktop environment. I remapped an old Logitech game pad so I could cut (Ctrl-X), copy (Ctrl-C), paste (Ctrl-V), save (Ctrl-S), close window (Ctrl-W) and Delete (Delete !!!) etc in windows apps with one touch.
Possibly the most useful utility the flight sim community has ever seen, Little Navmap brings flight planning, real time navigation and much more to the most popular flight sims.
This software is an integral part of my MiGPit. It has a WYSIWYG interface which enables quick and customisable construction of aircraft instruments which display live data from Microsoft Flight Sim to Android devices.
Simulation Panel Advanced Drivers: neXt Generation
SPAD.neXt was started as a replacement software for Saitek (now Logitech) panels. Now many other hardware devices are supported.
