Campaign

Overall the campaign is fun and geared to quick action. The framerates were quite acceptable and only really reached annoying lows in missions such as the D-Day invasion.

The Battle of Britain started on July 10th 1940. It was the beginning of a campaign by the Luftwaffe to destroy the defensive capabilities of British Fighter Command.

Enlist in dozens of historical squadrons and choose between several historical planes for each campaign, with distinct missions for each campaign/plane combination. Mission types in these campaigns include air superiority, free hunt over enemy territory, bomber intercept, paratrooper intercept, ground attack, close air support, and many others mission types against dozens of potential target types in thousands of locations.

The campaign has some great features, both in terms of ability to monitor progress as well as the guiding intelligence. The capstone is the integration of the Theatre Command and AWACS modes and the ability to play the strategic game.

This edition of Falcon 4.0 introduces a Balkan campaign.
